Australian golfer Greg Norman’s yacht is a true feast for the eyes of any boat lover. Nicknamed “The Shark”, Mr. Norman’s boat is one of those massive creations that give a person the sense that anything can be accomplished with enough hard work . . . and money. “Aussie Rules” is the name he gave his vessel, and she is quite the beauty. One of the most impressive private yachts to ever sail the seas.

Obtained by Norman in 2005 for a mere $70 million dollars, “Aussie Rules” is approximately 70 meters (230 feet). Making her more than twice the size of the ferries that sail Sydney Harbor. She remains the world’s largest privately owned aluminum composite yacht. That is only one of the many reasons to marvel this incredible sailing vessel.

An avid diver, Greg Norman’s yacht is fully equipped with a state of the art decompression chamber that makes almost any possible dive imaginable. If you happen to be one of Mr. Norman’s friends (which unfortunately you probably are not) you could explore the Coral Sea’s Great Barrier Reef located off the coast of Queensland in Australia. The coral reef system is the largest on the earth and is visible from outer space, making it a Mecca for divers all over the world.

After your underwater exploration you could sit for a lunch on the deck’s outdoor dining table. Perhaps you may need a nap after all that physical exertion.

Mr. Norman is also a skilled deep sea fisherman. So after your nap you may want to join “The Shark” on his 42 foot deep sea fishing boat which can be launched from the deck of his yacht. And don’t worry about falling overboard during stormy weather or if you happen to be a bit tipsy because Greg Norman’s yacht also has a rescue boat if you happen to fall from any of his three different types of fishing boats.

All total, there are nine different boats stored inside the yacht; three for fishing, one for diving, four Yamaha Waverunners, and the rescue boat.

After catching your fresh fish and dining at his 12-seat mahogany dinner table, your worn out body would definitely need to relax in or outside of the vessel. You could do this in a number of ways.

For example:

a) You could watch a film or a sporting event in the luxurious home entertainment theater.

b) Sip wine and chat in his spacious living room.

c) If all the days excitement has left you too excited for a good nights sleep, you could swim some laps on the deck of the yacht.

As far as boats are concerned, Greg Norman’s yacht is a true spectacle. With it’s long list of possible adventure and exploration boredom would be virtually impossible. If you happen to have a spare $70 million dollars, you could have your own built. Otherwise, you will need to befriend Greg Norman and ask him to take you out on his floating mansion.
